They soon started their travel east with Cyrus leading the way. Two days after they started Cyrus
assured them that he wasn't much further than an hours walk. On this moist morning a light fog
had formed. Niniane awoke and looked around her for her companions, but didn't see them
anywhere. "Guys?" She called out, but there was no answer. "Mitsuo? Jun? Mingi? Anybody?"
She continued to call, but still no answer.
Niniane then heard thumping from afar. "Who's there?" She demanded. She then heard a horse
whine, but couldn't tell which direction it was coming from. It soon became louder, that's when
Niniane realized it was coming from behind her. Before she could move a cloaked person shot
two objects at her. One struck her close to the neck, the other close to her shoulder causing her to
become unconscious. The cloaked man swooped up Niniane onto his horse before she fell and
continued riding on at the same speed. He then shot an arrow onto a nearby tree with a note
attached to it, still riding at the same speed, he rode off into the fog.
"Niniane!" Mitsuo called running into the fog. The others called her name as well, but Mitsuo
couldn't see them anywhere. "Niniane, please! This isn't funny!" Mitsuo yelled. Mitsuo walked
farther into the fog, then noticed a shadowed figure up ahead. Thinking it might be Niniane she
ran toward it, but as she got closer it just happened to be tree. Although she did notice something
else, she ran up closer to the tree to see what it was. It was an arrow attached with a note.
Mitsuo pulled the note from the arrow, but she only got to read one short sentence before
someone put a swords blade under her chin. The one sentence she read was: 'I have the girl'
"Who are you?" A man demanded. "And why are you on my land?"
"Please, don't hurt me. I'm just here looking for my friend." Mitsuo said.
"Niniane?" The man asked.
"Yes, Niniane is my friend." Mitsuo said.
"Then who are all the other people who call her name as well?" The man asked again.
"They're our companions; we're traveling with them." Mitsuo said.
"What's your name?" The man asked.
"You know how impolite it is to ask for someone's name before introducing yourself." Cyrus
said quickly after the man spoke, hold his sword up to the man's neck as well.
"C-C-Cyrus... " The man studdered. "I don't believe it! You're dead."
"Oh, I'm very much alive, right now." Cyrus smirked.
"Alright then." The man removed the sword's blade from under Mitsuo's chin and faced it toward
the ground. "You've been resurrected haven't you?"
"Yes, I have." Cyrus said.
The man smiled. "I guess that duel can continue from where it left off."
"We have no time for a duel." Cyrus declined. "We'll just have to postpone it."
"What are you saying, Cyrus?" The man asked confused.
"I might somehow regret this, but we need your help." Cyrus said.
"Is this some kind of trick?" The man asked suspicious.
"No trick," Mitsuo cut in moving Cyrus' massamune from the man's neck. "Me and my
companions need your help to save the Kingdom of Lynns."
The man looked at Mitsuo for sometime then nodded. "Alright, I'll help. But first we need to help
your friend."
"Yes," Mitsuo agreed. "Let's gather the others."
They all were soon back in a group at the man's house. They all sat in an empty room, listening
to Mitsuo read the note. "We have the girl. She now belongs to Yosaku to be his new wife. Don't
bother coming for her; you'll never make it, but if you want to try us, go ahead. If you can find
us." Mitsuo slowly let the not fall from her hands. "Sir, if you know where they have taken her,
take us there!" Mitsuo yelled at the man.
"Oh! I'm afraid I didn't introduce myself, did I?" The man pointed out. He bowed. "My name is
Tickashi, of the Otomisaka family."
"I don't care what your name is!" Mitsuo snapped. "I want to know if you can take us to
Yosaku!?!"
"Mitsuo, calm down." Raziel said grabbing hold of her.
"Just answer me, Tickashi!!" Mitsuo continued to yell with Raziel holding her back. "Can you or
can't you!?!"
Tickashi then stood up. "I can."
"Then let's go." Mitsuo urged and tried to run out, but Raziel held her.
"Mitsuo wait!" He yelled pulling her back into his arms and held her tightly. "You should always
know what you're going up against before rushing into things."
Mitsuo stopped struggling to run off. "I guess I am rushing into this a bit too fast."
"You're not going to run off when I let you go, right?" Raziel asked.
"I won't." Mitsuo reassured him.
Raziel let her go and they sat down; Tickashi still stood for sometime before sitting as well. "I
guess I should begin with Yosaku. He is a very... perverted man. He's an immortal and know
some powerful magic spells. He always chooses a wife once the last wife starts to loose her
beauty."
"Oh man!" Raziel interrupt. "I can't allow this!"
"Calm down," Cat interrupt Raziel. "Let him finish.
"Well, any ways," Tickashi continues. "To get to the point. Yosaku is very powerful and his
castle is protected with some kind of shadow demons. Which they are pretty tough to beat as
well. You can slice them up to as many pieced as you wish, but they just piece themselves back
together. So only one person can go after Yosaku, while the rest of us fight off the demon's until
Yosaku is killed."
"I want to have the pleasure of doing so." Mitsuo says.
"Wait, no!" Yuni snaps. "He'll probably kill you."
"But, I want to!" Mitsuo yells. "I know some powerful spells myself."
"That is true." Cyrus points out. "I have powers as well and when I was given these powers, I
was told that only one of great powers can ever stop me. Any other kind of spells are useless
against me."
"Yes," Mingi agreed. "She did use barely any effort using her powers on you." She turns to
Mitsuo. "You go after Yosaku, we'll take care of the rest."
"Alright!!!" Kannuki jumps up with excitement. "A real battle at last! Now I can actually use my
skills."
Raziel turns to Mingi. "Should we let them join us?"
"Their skills may not be all powerful yet, but they can still fight off a couple."
"I may not be as excited as Kannuki," Jun says. "But I'll fight to the finish!!"
"There ya go, Jun." Kannuki says patting Jun’s back. "Now that's a kind of mood I like."
Jun trips Kannuki with her walking stick, then points it at a sensitive point on his neck. "Don't
ever touch me." Jun warned him.
"Here's another rule for you, Kannuki," Raziel starts. "Never ever piss a woman off. Especially if
she knows how to fight."
"I don't think Jun is a woman." Kannuki says. "I don't even think her months have started yet."
Jun's face then grows red with anger. "How dare you--!"
Kannuki jumps up and runs. "Come back here, Kannuki!!" Jun yells running after him. "I'm
gonna tear you to pieces!!!"
Jun had chased Kannuki out of the room. They both soon came running back into the room,
running around with Jun swinging her walking stick at Kannuki. Yuni trips the both of them with
her walking stick. "I don't think this is the time to play games."
"I'll deal with you later." Jun warned Kannuki.
"Now let's get going before something bad happens to Niniane." Mitsuo explains.
They all nodded in agreement. They start their long walk to Yosaku's five temples. The light fog
has already lifted by this time and Tickashi fills them in with more details as they walk.
"Yosaku has five temples. Each one is for the shadow demon's master. You have the ninja kind
that is of flesh and bone, but can grow and arm or a leg that you cut off. Only if, say you cut off
one of their arms, it doesn't create another ninja, it just lays there while the ninja grows back
another arm. Then you have the monster kind. It comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and each
kind has different strengths and weaknesses, which I know nothing of, for I never met the
monster kind. Then you have these weird kinds. I don't know what you call them. They can
illusion one's self as a child, dog, anything to fool the attacker. Then you have the flying kind.
These are like the monsters, they can come in all sorts of ways and have different strengths and
weaknesses. Only thing is they fly or glide. The fifth temple is where Yosaku lives. I know not of
which temple is which; I've never seen the place so, I wouldn't know." Tickashi finally finishes.
"Thanks, Tickashi," Mitsuo starts. "This information is a bit useful. So now we know what kind
of demon's we're up aga--" Mitsuo didn't get to finish her sentence because a flying monster
grabs her and starts to fly away.
"Mitsuo!!" Tickashi screamed.
"Help ME!!!" Mitsuo screamed and her voice soon faded away and the flying monster flies
farther away.
"Is that one of those flying monsters?" Kannuki asked.
"Come on!" Tickashi yells to the others and starts running for Yosaku's five temples; the others
didn't hesitate to follow.
