Outside of the gates of the city. I was anxious to know what the spirit has to say. Why it called us to this city. Finally walking up to the city two guards called down to us, but Ishiyuki called back. "They're with me."
One of the guards then yelled back down and the gates started to open. Only opening the gates about 5 yards apart. We all stepped inside the huge city. There were so many people, looked to be more than one thousand.
One of the guards walked up to Ishiyuki, before either of them could talk. "I want to speak to the captain of the guards." I said firmly.
The guard looked shocked at me for a moment. Like he's seen a ghost. I gave him an impatient look and he ran to the big oriental castle in the middle of the city. I gestured everyone to follow to the castle. We didn't run we walked calmly to the castle. I only noticed that Cecil was a bit nervous, because he stayed very close to Celes.
Reaching the walls of that surrounded the castle, I leaned against the wall holding onto my sword very tightly. I've never felt like this before, I feel very ordering, much higher then the rest of the people. The guard from before then stepped outside the gates. The first person he looked at was me. Then he bowed and gestured us to follow him.
Following to the gates, then into the doors that entered the castle. We followed the guard into a huge room with gold statues against the walls. A red walking carpet stretched from the throne the captain of the guards sat in. In the middle of the walking carpet was the same symbol that was on my sword and Mingi's temple.
Looking straight at the captain he sat on a red pillow with the symbol again on a rad clothe hanging behind him. Behind us I heard the guard that lead us here shut the doors. I didn't move my sight from the captain. His head was leaned down, I couldn't see his face real well, but I could see his white hair loosely fallen in his face.
He then looked up at me with his crystal grey eyes. I then saw and evil grin spread across his thin face. He then started chanting words, through every word his eyes grew whiter and whiter, glowing. I took a step back pulling my sword out.
The captains body then started to change growing scales and wings, his mouth shifting longer and growing sharp teeth. When all was done he was a huge dragon. Cecil ran to try and open the door, but we were locked in.
"We must fight him!" Mingi yelled to everyone over it's roar.
I felt like I was ready to fight this guy for sometime. I felt power surging within me. While the dragon took a deep breath, a clear bubble surrounded us all, right when the dragon breathed out fire. Mingi then jumped out of the bubble she then sliced her blade all the way through the dragons mouth. The dragon tried to open it's mouth and found he couldn't. His throat started to fill up. The whole dragon then exploded. In the middle of the flames I could see the captain then rising.
Lifting his arms up feathers then grew from his arms and became the biggest and ugliest bird I have ever seen. Celes chanted some quick words and threw the ribbon that wrapped around the birds neck. Moonlight and Cecil helped Celes keep hold of the bird. I then jumped out of the bubble and sliced it's head off. Feathers flying everywhere Celes's ribbon wrapped back around her nagitana.
Standing there I assumed the fight was over, how wrong I was. A rumble sound came and before I could move, a huge claw burst out from under me. Slamming me into the ground it's whole hand trapped my body under it. The monster was so big only half of it was in the room. I screamed in anger. I heard Fenrir growl and jumped at the monsters face clawing at one of it's eyes. The monster roared in pain and snapped his head throwing Fenrir into the wall. The monster breathed fire creating many other wolves with red beady eyes.
All the wolves attacked Fenrir. I really couldn't tell who was winning all I could see was a mixture of fur and blood flying everywhere. Out of nowhere Mingi came and sliced the hand off the monster. I pushed myself out from under the hand and saw the monster regrow anther one. Quickly looking to see how Fenrir was, he had Cecil and Kannuki as well as Celes helping fight off the regrowing wolves.
Ledia held up her staff and started to chant words all the jewels on her staff started to glow. A red beam shot out from the big ruby on the staff and blowing up half of the monsters face and some of the body. The body then fell. "How does this thing die!?!" I screamed to myself. For the wolves didn't disappear.
It's remaining hand then knock Mingi who dropped her sword and knocked into Ledia, they went flying through the walls creating a hole. Fire then came from it's claws creating Ninja's that occupied Moonlight and Ishiyuki. With it's only eye it looked at me. While it raised it's only clawed hand, I heard a beating noise. It's heart showed clearly through it's healing up wound.
It's hand then started to come down. I jumped up and sliced it's hand off, I could see the beating heart from here, the tissues were starting to cover it. I was running out of time. Thinking quickly I threw my sword and it stabbed his heart. The monster roared out in pain. I tried to pull the sword out, but it's big claws couldn't grab hold of the small sword.
The monsters only eye rolled back and fell. It then disappeared and the whole room turned back to normal. The captain then appeared again, this time in ninja's clothes. "My magic seems to be no match for you and your friends." He said with an evil grin. "You don't know who you are, but I do." He held up his hand and created a black bubble around my friends and I saw that they tried to escape the bubble, but couldn't. "None of your friends this time. Just you and me."
He pulled out his sword, he picked up mine beside him and threw the blade side at me. I stepped to the side and caught the handle of the sword not taking my eyes off the captain. We starred at each other for a moment.
"You remember nothing of you past do you?" The captain eyed me. I didn't say nothing. "I knew you wouldn't." He smiled. "The name is Jaton. Ring a bell?"
The name didn't at all. I only saw him as a stranger. I then sensed something from behind me. Mingi's sword. It had pulled itself out of the floor. It started to fly at my back. I jumped up and it missed, Jaton's eyes grew wide and with fear as it sliced through his chest. I landed and saw a faded see through figure.
I could tell it was a woman. The woman's body was invisible then whole and back to invisible, blinking a couple of times then becoming whole finally, she was holding the sword. "No..." Jaton said weakly spitting out blood. "You're dead. You're dead."
She used her foot to push him off the sword. I stood in shock as I noticed she wore the same thing as me. Only she had black hair, turning to me she looked almost like me, she wore an ornament around her head as well. Her eyes were green. She then gently put Mingi's sword down on the floor.
Looking at me with a smile and eyes that were happy to see me, almost like she was about to cry. Behind her I then saw Jaton stand holding Mingi's sword in his hands. He raised the sword high. I opened my mouth to yell, I then saw the ruby of the sword glow. Jaton's body started to fall apart and blood dripping from his mouth. His skin and tissue continued to melt like wax until all that was left was his bones, that fell to the floor and smashed into tiny bits.
The woman that killed him didn't seem to notice any of this, she just walked up to me smiling.
The black bubble disappeared and the locked doors flew open, where Ledia and Mingi entered
the room. The lady took one last look at me and walked over the throne that Jaton was sitting in
and sat down.
The woman took and deep breath and exhaled slowly. "This may take some time to explain, so
please make yourselves comfortable." Everyone sat down of pillows that appeared out of
nowhere. "I shall start off with my name. It's Angel."
