"Cat!? Princess Cat?" Queen Sheba calls for her daughter. "Where are you?" She continues to call through the halls of their beautiful white stoned kingdom. Sheba steps out onto a balcony. "Cat!?!" She yelled in shock finding her daughter sitting on the castle's guarding walls.
Princess Cat had her back facing her mother. Her long dark brown hair (that could be easily mistaken for black) was held up in a pony tail by a clothe with the front strands of her hair loose. Her large pointy evergreen eyes starred out at the beautiful city that has evolved ever since they had come down from the clouds. Cat turned and faces her mother standing up on the wall. "Yes, mother?"
"Get back over here." Sheba gestured, speaking more calmly.
Cat takes a huge leap, lands on the balcony rail then hops down to the balcony floor. "Come Cat." Sheba said giving her a warm smile. "It's lunch time, but before you go eat take a bath and change into a clean dress." She smiled putting her hand softly under Cat's chin.
Cat smiles. "As you wish, mother." Cat curtsies and walked in the opposite direction of her mother.
A couple of minutes later, Cat has changed into a clean dress. She looks at herself in the mirror. The dress was very beautiful. The dress split in the front and it showed off her figure more. With long sleeves and showed off her shoulders and neck. Cat let out a big sigh and kneeled down before her mirror, putting her elbows on her knees and resting her head in her hands. "I can't stand this." She talked to herself. "Just dresses, dresses, dresses. It's so damn dull around here. When is something interesting going to happen?"
"Talking to yourself again?" A voice said from the sill of the window.
Cat jumps up and faces who talked to her. "Yuni?" Cat sighed. "Don't ever do that again, you nearly scared the daylights out of me."
Yuni only giggled and winked. "Anytime."
Yuni is one like Cat only of non-royal blood, she wears simple peasant clothes and no shoes, and almost always carried a walking stick with her. Yuni and Cat have known each other since their child- hood. They are such best friends that nothing can separate them.
Cat fiddles around with an armlet around her arm. Yuni jumps down from the window sill. "You still miss your father, don't you?"
"Of course I do." Cat said facing Yuni. "I miss everything about him. The way he'd sneak me down to earth's lake and play around, him teaching me the arts of fighting... This armlet is the only memory I have left of him" A bell rang. "Well, it's lunch time. Would you like to join us?" Cat asks Yuni.
Yuni smiles and bows in acceptance. They stepped outside Cat's room. Yuni elbows Cat. "Race ya?" Without any count down, Yuni zooms ahead of Cat. Cat only smirks and zooms after Yuni.
Mingi and Jun are still in the woods, they finally come to a clearing with a bridge to cross a deep canyon. Mingi now wears her cloak and Jun has a red sleeveless dress like clothes with cris-cross stitches on the sides.
Only yards away from the bridge, Mingi only takes a step before being consulted by a young boy. "Halt!" He yells, holding a sword pointed at Mingi's covered face. "You can't pass this bridge unless I got payed 200 pieces of gold."
Jun looks shocked. "200 pieces of gold!?!"
"What is it with me and kids?" Mingi said disappointed, yet calm.
"Kid!?!" The boy said shocked by the sudden insult. "I'm no kid. I'm a man!" He yelled. "A bold hansom in fact." He soon added causing Jun to giggle.
"If you say you are truly a man, and is bold enough to point a sword in my face." Mingi swiftly pulls out her sword. "Then you must know how to fight?"
The boy stares in shock for a moment, then takes a step back. "I know how to fight... I'm the greatest swordsman to ever live." He replied eyeing Mingi. "I shall win. Ahahahahahahaha." The boy laughs.
While the boy was so busy laughing, Mingi grabs him by the shirt and slams him into the ground holding her sword up to his neck. "You've lost little boy. Call yourself a man no more."
"I-I-I won't let you cross the bridge." The boy stammered. "It's my bridge! No one will cross without me!!!"
"Fine." Mingi replied. "Then we'll take you across with us."
Mingi picks the boy up and throws him over her shoulder. "Hey!" The boy yelled. "Stop! Put me down." He wiggled and punched at Mingi's back.
"Stop squirming or I'll throw you off the bridge." At those words the boy finally stopped.
When they finally crossed the bridge, Mingi let him down. He straightened out his old looking clothes and dusted it off as well.
"How old are you?" Mingi asked pointing her sword at his face.
"I'm 19." He quickly said.
"Your real age." Mingi said straight after.
"16..." The boy said with a little grief.
Mingi turned to Jun. "And you?"
"15." Jun said.
Mingi put her sword away. Returning her gaze to the boy. "What's your name?" She asked a little more nicely.
"Kannuki, and if you want to know where my parents are. They're gone."
"Wha-?" Mingi said surprised. "How'd they die?"
"They didn't die." He said a little louder. "I just came home one day and they just never showed up since then."
"Look kid, I'm sorry about before, but if you want to be a real man, then you should learn to be a gentleman first." Mingi said.
"Who are you?" Kannuki then asked.
"My name is, Mingi." She replied.
"Well, glad to meet you, Mingi." Kannuki bowed politely.
"That's more like it." Mingi smiled and returned the bow.
"So, did I pass? Can I come with?" Kannuki smiled.
"HUH...why do you want to come with?" Mingi asked surprised.
"You're a strong woman. Carrying me all the way across the bridge and body slamming me with one hand." He said motioning his hands as he talked. "I've just got to see you in battle. Maybe you can even show me a few of your tricks."
"Maybe..." Mingi nodded as they started to continue their walk.
"And when I get old enough. I'm going to the temple of the white-mage warriors and join up to be one of them." Kannuki continued to talk and talk and talk before causing both Jun and Mingi to scream at him to: "SHUT UP!!!"
