Part Five

A couple of hours later is was about closing time and Niniane was helping Mitsuo clean tables off. "Well, I guess that's about it." Mitsuo said.

Niniane smiled back at Mitsuo, when she turned her head she noticed that the man was still sitting at his table. "Um...sir?" The man looked up at Niniane. "I-I-I--" Mitsuo elbowed Niniane. "I hate to say this but you're going to have to leave." Niniane let out, almost in a whoosh.

"Hmm," was all he said and got up and walked out the restaurant. Niniane watched his ever move out the door.

The man then stepped out into the nearly dark atmosphere. "Who are you?" He heard a woman say beside him.

Facing the cloaked woman he introduced himself. "My name is Raziel. Who are you and why do you ask?"

"My name is Mingi, you look familiar to me. Have we met?"

"How would I know if I cannot see your face."

Mingi removed her hood from her face. The man looked a bit curiously at her.

"I may have seen you somewhere before, but I don't remember." Raziel eyed her.

"I am Mingi of the white-mage warriors, I challenge you!" Mingi yelled jumping back and pulling out her sword.

"Mingi? Of the white-mage!?!" Raziel then looked at her sword. "Ah, I guess I have no choice. This will be very interesting."

Raziel unsheathed his sword slowly, then quickly went into his fighting stance. They both eyed each other for some time. A man walked out of a store near by. "Let's go somewhere with less people." Mingi said.

"Right." Raziel agreed, he turned and ran to the woods that weren't too far from the village, Mingi followed behind.

Not far behind them Kannuki and Jun followed. "Kannuki, why are we doing this?"

"I want to see Mingi in real battle." Kannuki whispered.

"Why are you whispering?" Jun asked annoyed by his whispering.

"Hey, will you shut up and listen to your elders." Kannuki smarted, still whispering.

"You're not that much older than me!" Jun smarted back. "I'm outta here." Jun then walked away.

"Fine, you wimp." Kannuki whispered back. He made a strange face. "Why am I whispering?"

Mingi and Raziel stood in a small clearing in the woods. Raziel made the first move and swung his sword at Mingi, she blocked it with her sword and threw a kick at him. Raziel caught her foot, he tried to throw her down, but she twisted in the air and caught him in the ribs with her free foot. Raziel staggered back a little. Mingi pretended to punch, then elbowed him instead. Raziel then swept Mingi dropping her to the ground, he swung his sword at her, but she blocked it with her sword. They struggled a bit to see who would over power the other. Mingi used both her legs and wrapped them around his neck and slammed him into the ground.

Mingi saw Kannuki come flying out of the bushes with his sword in hand. "I'll save you Mingi!!"

Kannuki's actions distracted Mingi and Raziel pulled free of her grasp and tried to hit her again only Kannuki jumped on his back and started beating Raziel in the head. Raziel couldn't get a hold of Kannuki, so he backed up and slammed him into a tree, once Kannuki Raziel ran further into the woods. Mingi gave Kannuki a hard look before running after Raziel. "Stay out of this Kannuki!!!"

"Ey, but I helped you. He could have killed you." Kannuki pointed out.

"This fight is only between white-mages." Mingi said then ran after Raziel.

"Oh, man!" Kannuki groaned disappointed. "I bet I can kick his --"

"Hey you?" Niniane asked interrupting Kannuki. "What are you doing here in the woods? You should go back to the village where it's safe."

"Well, I'm old enough to take care of myself, maybe I can help walk you two home?" Kannuki bowed to Niniane and Mitsuo.

"Alright, little man let's go." Mitsuo smiled, they all walked arm in arm with Kannuki in the middle.

Mingi runs full speed behind Raziel, he jumps onto a roof of a house, Mingi follows. Raziel swings his sword at Mingi, she flipped causing him to miss, landing behind him she swiftly kicks him knocking him down. Raziel quickly jumps up and with a yell he angrily swigs his sword in every direction. Mingi blocks them all with her sword and armlets. Finally Mingi knocks his sword away and kicks him in the face. Raziel falls and when he opened his eyes Mingi held her sword up to his neck.

"You are a swift fighter, only problem is you fight without thinking once you've been angered." Mingi said. "Too bad I have to do this." She then raises her sword ready to slice his neck, when she brought it down an ax like weapon stopped it from killing him. They both looked up to see Niniane holding the unique weapon.

"Who do you two think you are?" Niniane asked a little bit angered.

"Just going by the rules of an art form we know." Mingi said putting her sword away.

Niniane helped Raziel up. "What is she talking about?" Niniane asked him.

"We are both members of the white-mage warriors, one of the rules say that if you run into another white-mage you must challenge him. If one of them is the greatest and challenges you he... she must kill you." Raziel explained eyeing Mingi.

"That's ridiculous!" Niniane said shocked. "That's the stupidest rule I have-"

"You should know the rules." Mingi interrupted.

"Huh?" Niniane looked confused at Mingi. "What are you talking about?"

"You have a weapon that has been passed down from every generation of the high priests of white-mages." Mingi pointed to Niniane’s weapon.

"This is my grandfathers, he gave it to me." Niniane squinted. "I don't know why though. He died before he could tell what this was for."

Raziel and Mingi stared at each other. "Why would he give it to her?" Mingi asked; Raziel shrugged.

Niniane laughed. "I really like this weapon, but I have never ran into anyone all that powerful that I had to use it." The weapon glowed a blueish color and disappeared.

"That was cool!" Kannuki yelled beside Mitsuo. "Niniane you must show me how you did that trick."

Niniane smiled and turned to Mingi. "Where did you get this kid? He's annoying."

They all then jumped from the roof, Mingi put her hood back over her head. "Well, the next time we meet Raziel, there shall be no stopping me."

"Hey, wait!" Raziel stopped Mingi. "Why don't we just call it even. I mean there's no reason for us to fight."

"Alright, why don't we do this." Mingi faced Raziel. "We physically fight. Who ever gets knocked out first is known as dead."

"Sounds good to me." Raziel shrugged.

"Well then, I must be off." Mingi turned to walk away.

"Wait!" Raziel stopped her again. "I've got one more question to ask."

"And that is?" Mingi asked facing Raziel once again.

"I want to travel with you, so when we feel that it is time for us to fight, we can." Raziel pointed out.

"Alright then." Mingi nodded.

"Then me and Mitsuo are going too." Niniane stepped forward.

Mitsuo's face turned into shock. "What!?! ME!! I'm not going!" She took a step back from Niniane.

"Oh, come on Mitsuo. You're my friend, I need someone to talk to. Besides I'll protect you." Niniane winked and gave out a short giggle.

Mitsuo's face turned worried and disappointed at the same time. "Why do I have a bad feeling about this...?"
