"This place is so boring." Lotus told EmLynn. He lounged in a chair in the thrown room, while EmLynn looked out a window at the Lynns people working hard as if everything was normal.
"Companies coming." She said.
"What?" Lotus asked.
Just then Kallima appeared in the center of the throne room. Lotus quickly stood up at Kallima's appearance. "Get out." She ordered Lotus.
"Yes, mistress." Lotus bowed then quickly ran out the thrown room.
Kallima looked at EmLynn who still looked out the window. "What's wrong, EmLynn?" Kallima asked in concern.
"Why must I take control of the island?" EmLynn asked.
"It's simple." Kallima began walking closer to EmLynn then stopped a few feet away from EmLynn. "You make slaves of these people and make the dig at the center of this island until they reach the orb."
"Orb?" EmLynn asked confused.
"The orb is very powerful. The god Kinoato created it for the Lynns island. To protect it." Kallima said. "It can make you a god and rule by my side."
EmLynn smiled. "I see..." She replied evilly.
"Don't worry about the orb right now." Kallima said. "I've come for another reason."
"What is it?" EmLynn asked.
"There are a group of people coming. Being helped by Angel." Kallima said. "Kallima said. "You have to quickly prepare for their arrival."
"What about you?" EmLynn asked.
"Don't worry about me." Kallima replied. "I'll be taking care of Angel. You can handle the rest."
EmLynn nodded and walked out of the room. Kallima watched her walk out. "Don't die on me, my daughter." She said to herself then disappeared.
The group stood in Phoenix's cave with Angel and Kitana. "Stay here for the night. Save your strength. I'll take you down to the island of Lynns tomorrow morning."
"Wait!" Tickashi stopped Angel. "Are you as heartless as Phoenix says you are."
"Love has no meaning to me, Tickashi." Angel replied with her back facing him. "I'm sorry you didn't get what you wanted. But you should have thought twice before falling in love with me."
Tickashi stood in silence as Angel faded away. Kitana then set a hand on Tickashi's shoulder. "She has love." Kitana said. "She's fallen in love once, but has never been able to find the descendant of this man."
"Mingi," Kitana said walking in front of Mingi. "You are a chosen one."
"Huh?" Mingi said confused.
"There is a sword, at the island of Lynns. Put deep into the ground in the island of the Lynns. You, of many people that have tried, is the only person who is able to pull that mystical sword out of it's placement."
Kitana then turned to Cyrus. "Cyrus Darkblade. The only reason you have immortality and was able to come back was that Angel allowed it to make up for your mistakes. So take your immortal life to change what you have done in the past."
Kitana the turned to Jun. "You, my earthly companion, has great power within yourself let it be free, and you can protect this earth by my side."
"Cat," Kitana said facing Cat. "Your great power will awaken soon, and save your kingdom from the evil that holds it prisoner."
"Yuni," Kitana faced Yuni. "You're a great fighter and don't worry about being stuck in human form forever. The time will come soon."
"Niniane, the one and only female priestess of the white mage. You were chosen to have the weapon to take your grandfathers place. To become someone of great respect, you were the only one that had the same spirit as him." Kitana told Niniane.
"Kannuki, the mystery about you're family may or may not be answered, depending upon if you're at the right place at the right time."
"Raziel, you can forget about the duel between you and Mingi. You have another path to take."
"Are you some kind of fortune teller?" Kannuki asked.
"All the gods know what's to come." Kitana explained. "Only sometimes it changes, depending upon the persons choice of paths. Also sometimes unexpected things happen."
Kitana then disappeared and the group stood in silence. "This just came to mind." Raziel said. "Where are we going to sleep?"
Phoenix laughed. "Just because this cave looks a bit crappy doesn't mean I haven't secret areas in the cave.
They looked at Phoenix a bit confused. Phoenix then got up and placed a hand of the goddess Kallima's plate. The wall then began to move open to reveal a room. "Men in here." Phoenix said. He then walked to the next plate; the goddess Angel, to where the girls pilled in. Phoenix walked through the wall where Kitana's plate hung.
The next morning, they all woke up from the rumbling of the walls opening. Phoenix stood outside, waiting for them. "I can't find Angel..." Was the first thing Phoenix said. "Or Kitana..."
"What are you talking about?" Mingi asked.
"I can't find either of them." Phoenix said.
"You're saying we're going to have to go to the kingdom of Lynns by ourselves?" Cat pleaded almost. "With no help from the goddess Angel?"
"No," Phoenix replied. "I guess she's saying this is a job you're gonna have to do yourselves. I can teleport you there, but I can do nothing more after that."
"We all can do this, even without the goddesses help." Jun said with courage. "That's why Kitana told us all that fortune telling stuff."
"That makes sense." Yuni nodded in agreement with Jun.
"You know, Phoenix," Kannuki said. "This has been bothering me for sometime. About the goddesses and everything. If a god is more superior then a normal human, than how are they able to die and all that?"
"Gods originally come from the human race," Phoenix explained. "And since they come from the human race, most of them is still human. They can die, only not as easily as a human. Only a god can kill a god, but they are forbidden to kill one another."
"So, what about when they battle?" Kannuki asked. "You say the gods sometimes battle, yet they aren't allowed to kill one another."
"The way they fight is much more different than a humans." Phoenix explained as the others prepared for their journey to the Kingdom of Lynns. "Humans usually... in a serious battle.. fight till the death. Only gods fight till their opponent is knocked unconscious."
"Oh, great! It all makes sense now." Kannuki smiled.
"Is everyone ready?" Mingi asked.
"Just a minute..." Cyrus said. He sharpened his massamune a couple of times then took a clothe and wiped it, causing the blade to shine like silver. "Now, I'm ready."
"ALRIGHT!!!" Kannuki urged, hungering for some major action.
"Calm yourself, Kannuki." Niniane smiled. "Or you won't have energy left to fight."
They all had walked outside of Phoenix's cave and he teleported them in a flash of light. Appearing in an area with beautiful green grass and the sun shown high in the sky. There were scarcely any trees and a dirt path just next to them.
"I don't see it anywhere..." Raziel pointed out.
"You are still pretty far from the kingdom. I have my own boundary, you know." Phoenix said.
"Let's get going." Mingi ordered.
Without another word the rest of the group followed behind her on the dirt path. They soon could see and extremely large forest with tall trees. As they reached the area and was about to enter into the forest an old man with a walking stick jumped out. "Go no further, young ones." He warned.
"And why can't we?" Mingi asked.
"It is a cursed place... evil looms in this forest." The man said.
"Who are you crazy old man?!" Kannuki smarted.
"I am Locke," the old man cheered. "Protector of this land and the forest. I started this job ever since I saw the sky fall."
Everyone's eyes burst open from the shock to what he had said, and Kannuki was in the back trying to hold a laugh.
"The sky fell?" Yuni asked not so sure of what he said.
"I saw the sky fall. Only a peace of it." Locke said. "Then I saw it fall into the forest. Ever since then demons and monsters have been roaming around this forest. Soon! Very soon, the rest of it will fall, and you'll see!! You'll see!!! The sky will fall away!!! NO MORE BLUE SKY!!!"
"We can take care of ourselves, don't worry." Cat said, about to walk into the forest.
"Wait." Locke sternly said using his walking stick to keep Cat from walking past. "I will let the men pass. Women and children stay."
"Don't underestimate the power of a woman." Niniane said.
"Tsk! Women are always weak and fragile." Locke shrugged. "And men are always protecting them."
All the guys ended up backing away from Cat, Yuni and Niniane who steamed with rage of what Locke had said. Each taking turns hitting him.
Mingi shaking her head and the guys watching them beat Locke. "We definitely shouldn't underestimate to power of women." Raziel said. The others nodded in agreement.
When the three were finally done beating Locke, he laid in a crocked position. "The nerve of him." Cat said and they walked into the woods.
Deeper into the woods they stopped. "If only we could see where the kingdom is located then it would be a lot easier on us." Niniane said with a small sigh.
"I can take care of that." Jun said. "I can call upon the powers of the wind to make me fly."
Mingi smiled and nodded in allowing her to do so. Jun slumped her head and held her hands in close as if she were praying. Wind started blowing around her, twirling her hair up at it's ends. Her mouth continued to silently talk as she started to float off the ground and above the trees, but still visible. "I see it!" She called down. "Follow me," She said and started to fly north.
The group ran to keep up with her, glancing up once in a while to make sure she hasn't turned another direction. After a long while some of the group started to get tired and worn out. Mingi called to Jun to stop for a rest, but she continued. Mingi then ended up running after her, Cyrus following behind. With Jun still in view she saw that Jun got hit by something and her scream echoed through the woods.
Mingi then stopped and faced Cyrus. "Go get the others. I'll continue heading north." Not giving Cyrus a chance to reply she ran off in the direction Jun fell. Only getting so far a crack was heard, and something small with incredible speed flew past her face and tore at a tree inches away from Mingi.
A man to her right with a strange long object in his hand unknown to Mingi. "Don't move." The man said when Mingi faced him. "What are you doing here?"
"Why I'm here is none of your concern." Mingi snapped.
She then pulled out her sword and the man (without moving) used his strange weapon and it struck at Mingi's sword breaking it in half. Mingi looked in shock at her broken sword. "You--" Mingi started then with anger threw that piece that was still in her hand. "BASTARD!!!!" The broken part of the sword stuck the man in the shoulder, which held his weapon the most.
The man puled out the broken sword by it's hilt then looked up to see Mingi's foot heading towards him. Having no time to dodge, Mingi laid a hard air kick to his chest. She then took a couple of steps back keeping her distance while she allowed the man to rise to his feet. He then held up his weapon and aimed it at Mingi. Not giving him a chance to make it work she kicked it out of his hand, landing somewhere in a bush. Then quickly landing a roundhouse hitting him in the face knocking him off his feet.
Mingi then grabbed the man by the collar of his shirt and brought him close to face her. "You, broke an honorable sword that has been past down to me." Mingi snarled with anger. She raised a bald up fist to punch him, but a hand grabbed her by the wrist.
Mingi looked up at the person who kept her from hurting the man any further. "Please, don't hurt him." The other man told her politely.
Mingi snatched her hand away from the other man and stood up. While the other man helped the man off the ground he introduced himself. "I am Yousef. May I ask who you are?"
"I am Mingi." Mingi replied still untrusting of Yousef.
"You seem to be very angered at my friend her." Yousef pointed out.
"He broke an honorable weapon. Why shouldn't I be angered?" Mingi asked.
"He's always wanting to start fights." Yousef said facing the man Mingi attacked. "Never been beat before... until now."
"Serves him right." Mingi snarled at the man.
"Leave." Yousef ordered the man. After the man was out of view Yousef turned to Mingi. "I apologize for this. You seem to be here all alone. Don't you have any companions?"
"I do, but a friend of mine was shot from above the trees. I came looking for her." Mingi said.
"I know of who you speak of." Yousef said. "On of my troopers thought she was some kind of demon and shot her. Until we saw that she was only a young girl. We treated her wounds."
"What are troopers?" Mingi asked.
"You are defiantly one of the people that still depend on physical fighting and somewhat useless weapons." Yousef said. "Troopers are people that voluntarily join as a group of fighters under my command."
"Mingi!?!" Niniane said out of breath. "Did you find Jun."
"You people really need to work out more." Cyrus said. "You get tired out too quickly."
Raziel let out a laugh and Niniane punched him in the shoulder. "Ow..."
"No time for fooling around," Mingi said gaining their attention. "Take us to Jun."
"Right this way." Yousef said, waving them to follow.
They followed him for quit sometime before reaching an area with a couple of tents set up. Yousef lead them to a hidden cave that was covered by many vines, making it almost invisible. Inside were many wounded men and a couple of women here and there helping to treat the men's wounds. Yousef lead them to the back where Jun laid with her side patched with bandages.
"Are you alright?" Yuni asked getting closer to Jun.
"I feel better now." Jun smiled. "I thought these guys were gonna eat me for dinner."
"Oh, don't worry about that." Cat said. "I think these are good people."
Cat looked at Yousef with almost untrusting eyes, then looked back at Jun. Mingi noticed the shocked look on Yousef's face as he walked away.
"You know," Kannuki started. "I'd think it would've been better if you got lost or something. Then I wouldn't have to worry about a pest like you in the group any longer."
Jun then whispered something in Yuni's ear and Yuni smacked Kannuki upside the head with her walking stick.
"Hey! What'd you do that for?" Kannuki asked rubbing his head.
"Jun asked me to." Yuni smiled.
Leaving the group to talk to Jun, Mingi followed Yousef. Once outside the cave she caught up with him and stopped him. "What do you want?" Yousef asked.
"I want to know why you gave that funny look to Cat?" Mingi asked.
"She's a Lynn isn't she?" Yousef asked.
"Yes, she is." Mingi replied. "And what's so shocking about it?"
"I just thought Lynn that leave their island turn to... Lynns." Yousef said.
"What are you saying?" Mingi asked confused.
"Follow me... I'll show you what I'm talking about." Yousef said.
Mingi followed him to a big tent with two men guarding the entrance. Yousef pulled back the entrance flap to let Mingi enter and him after her. Mingi looked is shocked as many cat like creatures were all over the place. some looked up to see Mingi others kept from eye contact.
"Their outcasts," Yousef said.
"What?" Mingi asked.
"They say a demon Empress took over their Kingdom and since these Lynns refused to obey the Empress's commands, they cast them out." Yousef explained. "And since Lynns are still hunted creatures... we keep them here safe from hunters."
"We should let Cat see them." Mingi said.
The name of the princess grabbed many of Lynns attention. "The princess is alive!?!?" "We're saved!" "I don't believe it..." All of them started talking at once.
"Calm down, please..." Yousef said. "I'll go get her, please don't leave the tent."
Mingi and Yousef then left the tent and went back into the cave. "Cat," Mingi said walking up to Cat. "Yuni, I think there's something you'll want to see.
Leading the two Lynns back to the tent Cat and Yuni looked in amazement at the Lynns. "Yuni...?" A female Lynn said walking out from behind a group of Lynns. A tiger like Lynn the color red and another Lynn behind the red which was blue.
"Mama! Papa!" Yuni yelled with joy and ran up to hug her mother and father.
"How come you both don't turn into Lynns?" Yousef asked.
"Only royal blood stays in human form leaving the island." Cat said.
"So she is of royalty too." Yousef said pointing to Yuni.
"No, I'm not royal." Yuni said, standing up.
"Then--" Yousef started.
"I'm special," Yuni interrupted. "Unlike any other Lynns."
"How?" Mingi asked.
"Back when me and Yuni were only children we wanted to try something that the humans do." Cat explained. "To become blood sisters. So we cut our palms and mixed our bloods. Ever since then we were of both non-royal and royal."
"Only we didn't understand how different our bloods are. We made a big mistake and regretted it as we got older." Yuni said.
"So no matter what you two do, you're stuck in human form." Yousef said.
"Only until our island is returned to it's rightful place." Cat said.
"Well, why not make what brought you down here, put the island back in the clouds." Mingi suggested.
"That's kinda hard to do," Cat said. "Most of magic holders that brought us down here are either dead or not to be found."
"There were lots of magic holders pulling their power together is the same as two goddesses powers."
"Only if two goddesses, one of good, one of evil are able to put us back to out rightful place." Cat said. "Since all the magic holders were of both good and evil."
"That would mean Kallima would be one of the goddesses that would help put the island back." Yousef said.
"She wouldn't help," Mingi grunted. "It's her creation, EmLynn that took control of the island."
"I see what you mean." Yousef said.
"Shall we continue to the kingdom?" Cyrus said just entering the tent.
"It'd be better if you waited for a new morning." Yousef said. "At night this forest would be extremely dangerous."
"I'll have to check with the rest of my companions." Mingi said.
She then left the tent with Cat, Yuni and Cyrus following behind. They then met up with the rest of the group in the cave.
"So what are we going to do, Mingi?" Raziel asked.
"That's why I came here, I wanted to know whether you guys wanted to continue or stay for the night." Mingi said.
"Let's just get there and get it over with." Tickashi said with a little mourn in his voice.
"He's still upset about Angel." Niniane said. "I am somewhat as well. I can't believe she would keep such a big secret from me."
"I think we should stay for the night, I'm tired." Kannuki said.
"I agree with, Kannuki," Raziel said. "We should, I'm pretty tired and I can't continue on."
"Anybody else?"
"I guess, I'll speak for the already asleep people," Jun says. "We should definitely stay."
Looking around Mingi watched Niniane lean on Raziel's shoulder and fall asleep. Then Kannuki lean on Tickashi and started snoring already. Tickashi shook Kannuki off his shoulder and Kannuki's head slumped back and he continued to snore. "Cat... Yuni..." Mingi lowered her voice when she turned to see Cat and Yuni asleep on two vacant beds. "Well, I'll go tell Yousef and see where we should sleep for the night." Mingi said walking out.
Yousef said that they had an extra ten set up already just in case the group had decided to stay. Mingi gathered the group and they went into their tent to sleep the night away. Some of the group had to be lead to the tent since they were too tired to walk and Mingi carried Kannuki who she knew was a hard person to wake.
Later that night Tickashi had found himself unable to sleep. Grabbing his sword he stepped outside the tent to practice his training. After awhile of practicing he leaned up against a tree and starred up at the stars. They shined through the leaves of the trees and looked so beautiful. "Angel..." he whispered to himself.
He then heard a twig break and a rustle of leaves at the same time. Jumping to a stance with his sword drawn. "Show yourself." He ordered.
The goddess Kitana then stepped out from behind a bush. "Don't worry it's me."
"Where've you been?" Tickashi asked.
"Trying to find Angel." Kitana replied.
"Did you find her?" Tickashi asked lowering his sword.
"No," Kitana replied lowering her head. "But I found this." She pulled out a small coin and handed it to Tickashi.
"What is this?" He asked looking at the coin that had a symbol that he didn't know what it stands for.
"It was the coin that Angel wore on her necklace that she kept hidden under her top." Kitana said. "It was given to her by her first love, an ancient Chinese symbol for 'love' and on the back her name."
Tickashi flipped the coin over. "What was her name?"
"At the time is was Yin-Yin." Kitana said. "She was very much in love with him and wanted to grant him immortality, but he wouldn't except her offer thinking she would die someday or another to reunite with him, in paradise. He didn't know that she was not able to die and had to live forever."
"Is that why she refuses to love?" Tickashi asked Kitana.
"She doesn't refuse to love," Kitana said. "She just won't love until is spirit returns to earth."
"I wouldn't really understand how she feels, since I've never fallen in love all the years I've lived." Tickashi said holding the coin tightly in his palm. "Until she came into my life."
"How long have you lived?" Kitana asked.
"I guess around 300 or 400... I've never really kept count." Tickashi semi-smiled.
"I know how you feel," Kitana smiled. "I've lived for so long I have no idea how old I am."
Tickashi then held out his hand to give back Angel's coin. "Here, maybe you should keep this..."
Kitana held the coin in one hand and put her free hand over the coin and green light glowed between the hand. The coin floated upwards and a beautiful chain connected itself to the coin. Kitana then reached up and grabbed the chain and walked up to Tickashi and put the necklace around his neck. "You keep it." Kitana said stepping back. "I won't need it and Angel wouldn't mind an admirer keeping it."
Tickashi looked at the coin for awhile longer before tucking it away. "Are you sure she won't mind?" He asked.
"I'm her sister," Kitana smiled. "I should know her more than anyone."
A strong breeze then blew and leaves flew past Kitana and she disappeared. "How do they do that?" Tickashi asked himself.
