EmLynn and Lotus stepped out onto a balcony where it faced out to the people of the Kingdom of Lynns. They stared down at the frightened people, surrounded by guards. "My people..." EmLynn said. "You will now worship me as your new queen. Bring me all your families treasures, but no not dare question my orders or I will sacrifice you to the goddess Kallima." She hesitated for a moment. "Although...for right now..." EmLynn floated down to the ground form the balcony. She waved her hand and her best warrior stepped forward. EmLynn pointed to the mystical sword. "Pull it put!" She ordered.
The monster warrior stepped before the sword shoved deep into the ground. Surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers that coiled around it. He glanced at EmLynn, she nodded. He placed one hand on the sword and the ruby started to glow, the monster tugged, but it wouldn't budge, he started to tug harder, his arm ripped off. He fell to the ground shrieking in pain. A plant's vines coiled up the ripped arm and pulled it off the sword handle. The ground beneath the monster started to bury him, he continued to scream, scratching at the ground around him trying to pull himself up.
His fellow warriors stepped forward about to help him, but EmLynn held up her hand stopping them. When the monster was actually starting to pull himself up, vines bust out from the ground, wrapping around the warrior pulling him under. The monster soon became fully buried, the ground around where he was buried turned a reddish color from his blood, then beautiful green grass started to grow faster then normal at the death bed of the unfortunate warrior.
"Very interesting." EmLynn smiled. "Leave these people be, I ask nothing of them. At least, not now."
EmLynn noticed one of her monster warriors very intrigued with a young girl. When the monster asked the girl something, she shook her head and backed away from him, the monster got angry and took out his sword ready to kill her. EmLynn stared hard at the monster causing him to kill himself.
EmLynn walked up to the girl, she examined her a bit, she had a nice figure, pretty skin, and cute light brown eyes. EmLynn twirled her fingers through the girl's long, wavy, brown hair. "What's your name?" EmLynn asked.
"Lyra..." She replied nervous.
EmLynn smiled. "Don't be shy, I'm not going to kill you, want to be a bride?"
EmLynn shoved Lyra to her knees a few feet away from Lotus who was lounging in one of the throne's chairs. "And what is this, dear sister?" Lotus asked not looking at Lyra.
"A bride." EmLynn replied.
"For you-"
"Not for me you idiot!" EmLynn interrupted. "For you!"
"I have no need for a bride." He calmly replied turning his head from EmLynn.
EmLynn smacked Lotus, "You need to find one! You can only live for so long, you need to pass on your blood line." EmLynn turned to Lyra. "She is beautiful, is she not?"
"I agree with you sister, but she doesn't interest me. I will find one eventually." Guards came in and escorted Lyra away.
EmLynn came face to face with Lotus. "Then you better find one soon, you have wasted to many souls of young women that are now living in the basement of our forsaken castle."
"Are you getting soft?" Lotus asked concerned. "Since when did you care so much about people's souls?"
EmLynn only stared out blank. "I don't know. I think it's all this excitement. I'm going to bed." She started to walk off, but then turned back to Lotus. "But I meant what I said about fining a bride, your bloodline must continue on to rule this island. For when I find what I'm looking for I will become a goddess." She walked off to her room.
Yuni blinked her eyes open. "Where am I?" She asked herself. She sat up to see Cat laying next to her. "Cat!?!" She yelled jumping up. "What happened? Tell me." She urged, shaking Cat.
A shadow cast across the gras in front of Yuni, Yuni squinted to see sho it was, but the sun was in her eyes and only saw the form of the person. "Who...are you?" Yuni asked.
The person stepped forward and Yuni got a better look, it was a man, with long white hair, his eyes were strange, they were a blue like color but clear. He wore a dark coat and dark colored clothes underneath, he also held a massamune at his side. "Need any help?" He offered.
"My friend needs help, is there a village near by?" Yuni asked.
"I'm afraid there isn't. But I do know someone not to far from here that my be of service." The man said.
He carried Cat in his arms and Yuni followed beside him. "What kind of person are you?" She asks.
"What do you mean?" He asked confused.
"Your eyes, they're much different then any normal eyes."
"Well," He started. "I am an ancient life form. I was once a great warrior, at least about 30,000 year ago. My fighting abilities pleased a great sorcerer, and her granted me great power. I soon after ran into a man, I don't remember what his name was, but he killed me." The man clenched his teeth in anger, he soon calmed down. "One of the great sorcerer's descendent resurrected me. Ever since then my eyes have always been like this."
"I see..." Yuni silently replied. "I'm sorry I brought it up, I didn't mean to bring any upsetting memories."
"It's alright..." The man slightly bowed.
Soon after they finally reached a temple hidden deep in the forest. The man slid the door open with his foot and stepped in. "Yo-Yi!" The man yelled.
An old man stepped into the room. "Who calls-" He looks shocked at the man with Cat in his arms. "Cyrus? Is that you?"
"It's me alright, ol' man." Cyrus nodded.
"Now who are these young ladies?" Yo-Yi asked looking at Cat then to Yuni.
"Oh...uhm..." Cyrus looks to Yuni. "I'm afraid we didn't have the proper introduction."
"Oh! You're right. I was too worried about my friend I didn't bother to introduce myself and my friend." Yuni bows. "My name is Yuni and that lady in your arms is my dear friend Princess Cat."
"A princess?" Yo-Yi eyed Cat. "What kingdom are you both from?"
"Uh...well..." Yuni hesitated. "If I tell you, will you promise not to let Cat on that you know!"
"Your secret is safe with us." Cyrus promised.
"Me and Cat are from the Island of Lynns." Yuni said not looking at them.
"You both are of royal blood, this is--" Yo-Yi started.
"Not exactly." Yuni interrupted. "I'm not of royal blood..."
"Then how can you stay in human form?" Yo-Yi asked.
"Well," Yuni started. "Me and Cat were little kids and we didn't really understand how important out bloods were and we... sorta... kinda... combined our blood and ever since the magic holders brought us down here I can't change into a Lynn, I'm am stuck in human form for as long as I'm still down here on earth."
"I see..." Yo-Yi nodded.
"Can you get your mind off of her and put your mind on finding out what's wrong with her." Cyrus pointed out.
"Yes, yes." Yo-Yi nodded, he pulled back the curtain he entered in from. "Set her on that table." He pointed to an empty table. Cyrus set her down and stepped back.
Yo-Yi puts his hand on Cat's forehead, then around her neck. "What's wrong with her?" Yuni asked urgently.
"I'm not sure, it seems familiar. Yet I don't understand--" Yo-Yi cut himself off when he was feeling for a pulse, he then layed his head on her chest. "A small heart beat..." He silently said. "Please leave us be, until I call you back."
"But--" Yuni started.
Cyrus stepped in front of Yuni. "We must do as he says."
They both stepped outside the room. "Will she be all right?" Yuni asked Cyrus.
"She'll be fine," Cyrus nodded. "He is known to be one of the greatest doctors so far, only he keeps to secrecy."
"I'm going to change the subject to help myself from to much worrying." Yuni said.
"Go right ahead." Cyrus smiled.
"What kind of warrior are you?" Yuni asked, Cyrus' smiled faded quickly and starred at the floor. "No, I'm sorry. I'll just bring something else up." Yuni said with a little sympathy.
"It's all right." Cyrus assured her. "I was known as Cyrus Darkblade. They gave me this name because I fought for evil, the sorcerer gave me the power of dark magic. I barely used the magic I was given, only in times I thought it'd be useful. I was also granted the power of immortality, which came from the goddess of Death and Destruction, Kallima. I was so proud of myself... until..." Cyrus paused for sometime, he then let out a sigh and continued. "Until an angel came to me. Not some ordinary angel; the goddess of life and spirituality. She told me that my deeds were wrong, and that I'm taking the wrong path if I wanted to reach true power. She told me if I changed my ways she would grant me one wish, any wish. Unfortunately for me and my witty ways, I didn't listen to her. One day she came to me in a dream and placed the mark of death upon my forehead. In my dream she told me that my soul has been cursed, that I shall not go to that wonderful land of the after life. 'You shall die in body, but your soul shall forever remain within a nightmare.' she said. 'A nightmare where you will encounter the souls of those you killed. That is you punishment, for all your evil deeds. And shall you remain there for as long as your body remains dead.' So it happened. I stayed in that hell hole for 300 years (or so I think), but the day I was resurrected was the day I changed my ways." Cyrus finally finished and looked to Yuni. "Quite a story, huh?"
"Why, yes!" Yuni said in awe, almost like she just came back to reality. "But how did you get to see the goddess of life and others didn't?"
"Oh, others have seen her, just haven't lived to tell the tale." Cyrus smirked. "When Angel marks you, only you can see it, no one else. Unless perhaps there is a seer around."
"Whoa. What does she look like?" Yuni asked with a glimmer in her eyes.
"She's very majestic, long black hair, and beautiful green eyes. She's just like any other goddess, with features and a great body beyond any other human. Hmm... although, once in a while there can be a human with the beauty of a god." Cyrus explained. "Do Lynns have any particular gods that humans don't worship?"
"Oh, yes, we do." Yuni nodded. "His name is Kinoato the god of all creation."
"The god of all creation?" Cyrus asked confused.
Yuni nodded. "He existed before any gods or goddess were ever born. He created them you know."
"Really?" Cyrus said sounding intrigued.
"Mm-hmm." Yuni nodded. "We don't know much about him, all we know is that he created this world, and created the goddesses to protect certain parts of what he created. Like Angel protects the life and the spirit of any living creature. Kallima protects all evil and keeps it from being destroyed. Kitana protects the plants and keeps the sky blue. Them and all the goddesses are in twined as one so that if there were to be a war between them one could not kill the other or else what they were to protect would die out killing the other goddesses as well."
"It makes sense, that's probably why they must always stay in harmony. Or the balance of all life will die out taking them as well." Cyrus said.
"Although, Angel is the most specialist." Yuni pointed out.
"How?" Cyrus asked.
"You see, if Angel were to be killed, then all will be lost, she gives life to the plants and is the life of all the humans that have evil minds." Yuni told Cyrus.
Cyrus snickered. "But how can she die? She is one of the gods, she's invincible."
"No. Angel is much different." Yuni said a little more quiet. "If Angel were to be stabbed that's fine, but if she were to be cut open then that's another story."
"So you're saying she can almost die like a mortal would die?" Cyrus asked.
"Yes, I'm afraid so." Yuni replied.
"But how can that be?" Cyrus protested. "How can she be so fragile against other goddesses!?"
"I don't know why." Yuni replied shaking her head. "All I know is that she can only live for so long and must find a mate to create a new goddess. At least that's what we were taught about in school."
They both then hear Cat scream in the other room. Both rushing in, Cyrus first then Yuni. When they get a look at Cat she was covered in sweat and is breathing hard. "Please, it's all right. You're alive and well, you just had a bad dream." Yo-Yi spoke softly calming Cat down.
"Where am I?" Cat asked looking around.
"You're at my temple." Yo-Yi answered.
"Cat!! You're alright!" Yuni cheered with glee giving Cat a quick hug. "What happened? How did we end up so far from our island?"
Cat told Yuni all that happened and that she carried Yuni afar to find shelter, but found none. Yuni sunk into a chair behind her and looked down at the floor in shock. "It's gone... but how can that be?"
"I don't know, but all I know is that- that- that- BIT--" Cat started, but Yo-Yi covered her mouth keeping her from continuing.
"Now, now. Don't say such language in my temple." Yo-Yi said.
"Like I was saying," Cat continued once Yo-Yi removed his hand from her mouth. "Whoever that woman is, she has great power or else she would've worried about our escape." Cat pointed out. "But, enough of that. I was told in my dream by a voice to head west to the village Tomaga, there we will encounter people that will help us take back out island."
