Kannuki runs through the forest, he's all by himself and has a donut in his mouth. When he reached this clearing Jun jumped from a tree blocking his path. "I challenge you, Kannuki!" Jun yelled pointing at Kannuki.
"What now? I'm eating." Kannuki said, eating the rest of the donut.
Jun made an angered face. "That's my donut you're eating! You already ate yours!"
Kannuki patted his belly. "Well, too bad Jun, it's all gone." He smiled making a face at Jun.
"Well, Kannuki," Mingi said. "Aren't you going to accept her challenge?" When Kannuki noticed she was leaning against a tree to his right.
"It's not manly to fight a lady," Raziel said with Mitsuo and Niniane to his left. "Yet it's dishonorable to refuse a challenge."
"What is this?" Kannuki asked, looking at both sides of him. "Do you guys just live to follow me?"
"Nope," Mitsuo said. "Just to keep you outta trouble."
"Mitsuo," Niniane started. "I bet you my donut Jun's going to win."
"I'm not arguing with you." Mitsuo smiled.
"Hey, if I win," Kannuki said. "You all have to give me every donut you get for two weeks."
Everyone agreed, Kannuki then pulls out his sword. Mingi snatched it away. "No weapons in this fight."
"What--" Kannuki started to protest, but Jun sweeps him, knocking him to the ground. "That does it!!" Kannuki yelled jumping up quickly, he threw a couple of punches, but Jun dodged them all. Jun did another sweep, but Kannuki jumped it. Jun then grabs him by the waist and body slams him. Kannuki runs and jump kicks at Jun, but Jun grabbed his ankle twists her hand, causing Kannuki to spin in mid air till he hit the ground. Kannuki then gets up and throws some kicks at her, but she blocks them, he then does a round house catching Jun in the back.
Jun roll away from Kannuki. She then slides across tripping Kannuki, she then rolls to the side. Still on the ground she strikes Kannuki with her leg on his chest. Jun rolls back, Kannuki gets up clutching his chest. Jun runs at him faking a kick, she grabs one of his arms does a couple of kicks at his head still holding his arm. Jun then grabs him by the waist and does another body slam, she then rolls on top of him and breaks the arm she had a hold of.
Mingi and the others clap at Jun’s victory. Jun bows with glory. Raziel walked up to Kannuki and pushes Kannuki's bone back into place. "I want a rematch!"
"Why?" Mitsuo asked. "Because you are a sour loser?"
Everybody laughs. "No," Kannuki started. "Because, I want my donuts."
"Well, that's too bad, Kannuki." Mingi said putting her hand on Kannuki's shoulder. "You'll just have to give Jun your donuts for two weeks." Mini teased.
Jun made a face at Kannuki. "I'm the winner!!" She yelled jumping up and down happily.
"Stop acting so childish." Kannuki said to Jun.
"Look who's talking." Jun snapped.
That's when the face making war began.
"Now stop it you two." Niniane said. "You both are acting childish."
"Alright," Jun said turning from Kannuki.
"Fine!" Kannuki snapped.
"We'd better get going if we want to the next village in time." Mingi chimed in.
They all soon headed onward to the next village. Niniane then stepped up next to Raziel. "Hello." She greeted with a smile.
"Uh... hello," Raziel hesitantly replied.
"It's a wonderful day isn't it?" Niniane said.
"It certainly is." Raziel replied.
"Will you go out with me?" Niniane asked.
Raziel looked wide eyed by the sudden question. "But we hardly know each other." Raziel pointed out.
"It doesn't matter," Niniane said putting her arm in his. "We can get to know each other while we date."
Raziel looked forward and Kannuki and Mingi were talking then looked back and Jun and Mitsuo waved to him. He let out a big sigh. "They encouraged you, didn't they?" He asked referring to Mitsuo and Jun.
"Yep," Niniane nodded. "They helped me boost up the courage to ask you." When Raziel didn't reply she tugged on his arm. "Will you? Come on. Please?" Niniane pleaded.
"Um... well... um." Raziel hesitated.
Niniane let go of his arm and moved away. "It's alright if you don't want to, I can understand." She said a little down. "I'll just go."
She turned about to leave, but Raziel grabbed her arm. "I didn't say that. I just--" Raziel started.
"YOU will!!" Niniane shrieked. Then all eyes were on them.
Raziel kept snapping his head back and forth to Jun and Mitsuo to Kannuki and Mingi, who were all watching them. "Well, I--"
"Oh, this is the happiest day of my life!" Niniane interrupted throwing her arms around Raziel, which he made a face when she did this.
"How did I get myself into this?" Raziel asked himself with a sigh.
"Awwww... You two gonna get all mushy-mushy." Kannuki joked, making kissing noises.
"That's enough now." Mingi said. "Come on, let's get going."
They all continued walking, Niniane snuggled up against Raziel, with him just looking at her like 'How can this be?'. They finally reached the next village by the time the sun was at the peek of setting. They all went into a store and bought some fruits and other things. Kannuki bough a couple of donuts, Jun then appeared beside him. "All right, hand them over." She said holding out her hand.
"No way!!" Kannuki snapped.
Jun tried reaching for the donuts, but Kannuki moved them out of her reaching path and pushed his hand into her face. "They're MINE!" He told Jun.
"Don't you remember the bet?" Jun pointed out. "You're supposed to give me your donuts for two weeks."
"Not on your life" Kannuki said running off.
"KANNUKI!!" Jun screamed running after him.
Kannuki ran as fast as he could, cradling the donuts in his arms. He looked behind him and saw Jun running full speed behind him. He then ran into something and was knocked down. Jun then ran up and snatched the donuts from Kannuki. "Hey!!" Kannuki yelled trying to reach for the donuts, but Jun hit him upside the head with her walking stick.
A shadow then loomed over the both of them. "Who are you?" Jun asked a bit nervous. Kannuki and Jun both looked up at the tall man, whom happened to be Cyrus.
"Wow," Kannuki smiled. "And here I thought I ran into a pole or something."
"Kannuki," Mingi started, behind Jun and Kannuki. "It's not right to make fun of people."
Kannuki jumped up. "Well, you know, that's my job. I'm supposed to be a smart ass."
Jun hit him again with her walking stick. "Hey! Not in front of the kids."
Kannuki turned to see a couple of kids starring at him probably wondering what 'smart ass' meant. Kannuki then made screamed making a face and the kids screamed and ran off. Him and Jun then remembered about the tall guy.
They both looked back up to the guy. "Hi!!" Kannuki waved with a sheepish grin. He then turned his attention to Jun, she seemed to have her attention on Cyrus. Kannuki then snatched the donuts and tried to run.
"Hey!" Jun yelled, but soon got quiet.
Kannuki continued to run, although he wasn't going anywhere. He then stopped and looked back and saw a big massamune through his shirt. "What the--?" Kannuki asked shocked. "Who put that there? You can really hurt someone with on of those things." Kannuki yelled, looking around at everyone.
"I know," Cyrus said. "That's why I have great pride in my sword." He then pulled out the sword out of Kannuki's shirt.
Kannuki looked at the big hole in the back of his shirt. "Ah man!!" He said stomping his foot. "This is my best shirt too!"
"What village are we at?" Cat asked stepping out from behind Cyrus followed by Yuni.
We're at the village Tomaga." Mingi replied.
We made it." Yuni replied with a sigh.
"We're here to find a group of warriors that will help us." Cat said. "Do you know of any people here that are warriors."
"You're looking at the man!" Kannuki replied, trying to stand tall.
Jun bonked him on the head. "She's talking about warriors, not wimps."
"Oh yeah!" Kannuki snapped rubbing his head. "I'm a better warrior than you'll ever be."
"Look who's talking." Jun snapped. "You couldn't beat me any day."
"Well at least I don't cry over a stupid donut!" Kannuki snapped back.
"Stop that you two!" Mingi ordered.
"Yes, mother." Kannuki and Mingi joked.
"Jinx." Kannuki said quickly. Jun wanted to say something, but Kannuki jinxed her so she couldn’t say nothing. Kannuki laughed. "Now I get to make fun of you all I want to and you can't say anything back."
Jun then made an angry face and started swinging her walking stick at him. She soon chased him away. Mingi then stepped up to Cat, Yuni and Cyrus and bowed. "Please excuse those two. They do this almost everyday."
"Are those two really your kids?" Yuni asked.
Mingi let out a sigh. "No, they're not. They're both orphans so I agreed to let take them along with me on my journey."
"You're a white-mage aren't you?" Cyrus asked.
"Why yes I am." Mingi nodded.
"Then she must be one of the group of warriors that you are searching for." Cyrus pointed out to Cat.
"What are you talking about?" Mingi asked.
Cat stepped forward and bowed. "My name is Cat, this is Yuni and Cyrus. I will tell you all you need to know." Cat said. "If you will gather your party and meet us in a more private area."
"All right." Mingi agreed. "At night fall we will expect to see you in that hotel, just ask for Mingi." Mingi pointed to the inn she wanted them to meet her at.
When Mingi walked away Yuni turned to Cyrus. "Do you really thing she is the one?"
"She is a white-mage, and the best of the clan. Although..." Cyrus paused.
"What?" Yuni urged. "What is it?"
"If I remember correctly only men are allowed to enter the white-mage." Cyrus pointed out.
"Then if she's not a white-mage, then what is she?" Yuni asked.
"I don't know, but right now I don't trust her." Cyrus said.
Night fall soon came and Yuni, Cat and Cyrus walked into the Inn and Mitsuo and Niniane walked up to tem. Niniane bowed. "Hello, you must be the people Mingi's expecting."
"That's right." Cat agreed.
"Follow us." Mitsuo said turning down a hall. Niniane and Mitsuo led them into a room. "They're here."
Cat looked at the group. Kannuki was fast asleep on one of the three beds. Jun sat on the window seat that wasn't too far from the bed Kannuki slept on, and she covered her ears because of Kannuki's snoring. Raziel sat in a chair shining his sword, another chair next to him sat Niniane. Mitsuo leaned against the wall next to the door, looking at Cyrus with untrusting eyes. Mingi wasn't in the room. "Where's Mingi?" Cat asked Mitsuo.
Mitsuo didn't get a chance to answer because Mingi suddenly appeared behind Cyrus with her sword very close to the back of his neck. "Who are you?" Mingi demanded in a low voice, almost to a whisper.
"I am Cyrus Darkblade." Cyrus answered calmly.
"Mitsuo's eye's widened in shock. "No--" She whispered taking a step back.
Cyrus then eyed Mitsuo with out moving his head. "Why are you so shocked?" He asked. "Do I know you?"
"I've read about you... in books." Mitsuo replied taking another step back.
"What is it about this man that frightens you so much, Mitsuo?" Mingi asked, not moving her position.
"Cyrus was once the most powerful and the most feared man in the world... but..." Mitsuo paused. "But... he was killed. He no longer exists."
"That's right, the goddess Angel made my total existence seize." Cyrus agreed. "But my ways have changed, I'm no longer what I once was."
"He's telling the truth!" Cat yelled to Mingi. "Please, he saved my life."
"Evil sometimes uses kindness as a disguise." Mingi pointed out.
Jun then let out a scream and started beating Kannuki with her walking stick. "Stop that snoring!!" She screamed.
"I don't snore!" Kannuki screamed back after he fell off the bed.
"That's only because you can't hear yourself when you're asleep!" Jun snapped.
This distracted Mingi a little and that's all Cyrus needed. Cyrus stepped to the side and his long coat swooshed in front of Mingi. Mingi quickly stepped to the side and stabbed her sword through Cyrus, but it was an illusion, she only got his coat. Cyrus then appeared behind her. "You'll have to do better than that to beat me." He yelled swinging his massamune at Mingi's head, she quickly ducked. He swung low, Mingi jumped back.
Everyone in the room soon moved out of the way once Cyrus started swinging his sword so swiftly all you saw was the shine of the blade. Mingi dodged, blocked, and jumped back on each of them. Cyrus then got a hold of Mingi when she side-stepped one of the swings from his sword. Cyrus shoved Mingi out of window, but Mingi grabbed hold of his long hair, pulling him down with.
The others then ran up to the window. "You know this is the 15th floor, and they are falling a long way." Kannuki pointed out.
"I think they know that." Raziel replied.
Mitsuo then jumped over the heads of the people and started to fall after Mingi and Cyrus. "Mitsuo!!" Niniane screamed with shock, her eyes wide.
Cyrus and Mingi continued to strike at each other and they fell. Neither one getting a blow to the other. When they started to get closer to contact with the ground, Mingi grabbed behind Cyrus's head and shoved him down below her, Cyrus hit the ground first and Mingi used him as a cushion then jumped away from him.
Mitsuo continued to fall feet first, she turned to the windows she was flying by and noticed shocked faces on a couple of guys and girls. She then noticed that the back of her skirt was flying up, while the front was held between her legs. Her face turned red then held the back down. "Oops!!" She said to herself.
"You're good," Cyrus complemented Mingi. "But not good enough!!" Cyrus yelled charging towards her.
He was soon stopped by Mitsuo who landed on his head then quickly jumped and landed between Mingi and Cyrus. "Stop this!" Mitsuo ordered, holding up her hands.
"Why you--" Cyrus started to charge, but Mitsuo held up her hand and Cyrus stopped.
"There is no need of any fighting." Mitsuo said. "Can't we just talk this over, than trying to kill on another?"
Mingi let out a sigh then put her sword away. "You're right, Mitsuo."
Mitsuo turned to Cyrus and he stumbled forward. "Will you?" She demanded.
Cyrus nodded in agreement. "All right."
They soon appeared back in the room. "What did you think you were doing?!" Niniane yelled at Mitsuo shaking her.
"I knew what I was doing." Mitsuo replied calmly.
"You're not some almighty warrior you know!" Niniane continued to yell.
"Yeah, yeah." Mitsuo replied still calm. "But don't forget I'm still half sorceress.
"You know what?" Niniane stepped back crossing her arms over her chest. "I should really kick your ass for scaring me like that. And besides you could of taken that steps instead."
"They would've of mangled each other by then." Mitsuo pointed out.
"Yeah, well, it would've been better then flashing your undies to all the people while you fell." Niniane pointed out as well.
Mitsuo's eyes grew wide, and Niniane laughed with happiness for getting the last word in this. We then go over to the other side of the room where Mingi, Jun, Raziel, Kannuki, Cyrus, and all the others sat and stood around talking.
"So, from what you've just told me," Mingi started. "You're saying that the goddess Angel told you in your dream, that if you came here you would find warriors to help you save your island, right?"
Cat nodded. "Since me and Yuni don't know where any villages are around here, we were lucky that Cyrus happened to be great full enough to not only lead us here, but join us in helping of taking back my island."
"This EmLynn lady, Who exactly is she?" Mingi asked Cat.
"She's very powerful, Mingi." Jun said. "She's an all powerful sorceress. The plants tell me she is Kallima's child, the queen of all sorceresses."
"Her actual child; then she's probably half god." Raziel said.
"No, not Kallima's actual child." Jun pointed out. "But she did create EmLynn. So the goddess calls EmLynn her child."
"So the goddess Kallima also created Lotus." Mingi said.
"Well... I don't know." Jun shrugged.
"Lotus was created by the goddess Kallima." Mitsuo confirmed.
"How do you know?" Yuni asked.
Niniane laughed. "Well, you see, Mitsuo here is very much into all the goddesses and other greatly named people with big pasts. So she reads books about them and learns all she can."
"Yes, that's right." Mitsuo agreed. "EmLynn wanted to be known, so she made a man write everything about her. Lotus isn't really EmLynn's brother, but was intentionally supposed to be her guardian; protector. And here's another thing about her; she's very much like Kallima. Even though Kallima is evil, it was told that it is very much like the Yin of the Yin-Yang. When Kallima is kind, EmLynn is kind and so on."
"So Kallima mixed some of herself with EmLynn?" Raziel asked.
Mitsuo nodded. "Yes, and if anyone kills EmLynn, it kills part of Kallima, but not Lotus."
"I don't get it," Kannuki started. "If Kallima created Lotus as well as EmLynn. Then why won't Lotus effect Kallima if we kill his as well."
"What do you mean 'we'?" Jun asked shocked.
"Didn't you just hear what Cat and Mingi were talking about?" Kannuki pointed out. "Thy were talking about us. We're the group of warriors that are going to help Cat save her island."
"Maybe so," Mingi started. "But we might as well let Mitsuo tell us the rest about EmLynn and Lotus. That way we can know more about them and how strong they are."
Mitsuo then sat down in a chair. "Kallima may have created Lotus, but she didn't mix any of herself with him. Kallima isn't stupid, she wouldn't put too much of herself in any of her creations. Just EmLynn, whom can be as strong as a god." The room was silent for sometime.
"So she is part." Jun silently said.
"She has god-like powers and can live for as long as Kallima stays alive. Lotus can continue living even if they both die out." Mitsuo said.
"Is that everything?" Cyrus asked.
"I suppose so." Mitsuo nodded. "But there may be more behind this, I'm not sure EmLynn told the man everything. She might of kept some secrets to herself."
"You may be right." Mingi agreed. "I think we may need more help, just in case EmLynn is too strong for us."
"Right," Cyrus agreed. "I think I know just the person for the job."
"Who?" Yuni asked.
"A formidable opponent of mine back when I was truly alive. He was the only man alive then that was able to actually scar my badly." Cyrus said.
